Biography
Naomi earned her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) in 2010, the highest credential available in the field of public relations. Her work has been recognized with awards from PRSA-LA and CalSPRA. Naomi has completed the Redwood City Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program.
Naomi holds a Bachelor of Arts, English Degree in Writing from Northwestern University and a Master of Liberal Arts from Stanford University.

Designing and executing the Meet, Choose, Love RCSD Marketing Campaign to recruit and retain students in the Redwood City School District. The Meet, Choose, Love RCSD Campaign won an Award of Merit from the California School Public Relations Association in 2017.

Naomi spent the first decade of her career at regional and national public relations firms in Los Angeles, including Fleishman-Hillard, Inc. and Ketchum Public Relations, where she served a wide range of clients in the high tech, food and healthcare industries, and the non-profit sector. Naomi Hunter is an accredited public relations professional (APR) with 25+ years of experience in strategic communication and public relations in the public, private and non-profit sectors. She served as Director of Communications for the Redwood City School District (RCSD) for more than 10 years before launching Naomi Hunter Communications in 2017. She has provided consulting services to numerous school districts in the Bay Area and southern California, providing services including communications planning, trust building, crisis communications, website redesign and more. She also teaches an undergraduate public relations class at Santa Clara University.
Naomi served as President of Public Relations Society of America, San Francisco Chapter (PRSA-SF) in 2014 and currently serves on the Board of the California School Public Relations Association (CalSPRA).
Naomi has presented workshops at conferences for the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA), the California School Public Relations Association (CalSPRA), the Association of California School Administrators' Women in School Leadership Conference and the Association of California School Administrators' Classified Educational Leaders Institute.
Naomi is married to Rick, and has three adult sons, a daughter-in-law, and an adorable Labrador Retriever named Tim Riggins. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, hiking, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
